Careful study of youtube installation videos was necessary for me. Actual installation went quite smoothly. This is a really nice product that enhances the Tesla owner experience accessing the frunk. Also, the interface to existing wiring is very simple (gnd, battery+, latch release and latch sensor). Also noted is that there is no CAN bus interface which increases cyber security. The battery+ connection required D3 metric with a washer and nylon locking nut which I had to buy separately. The directions suggested D4 but that would have required me to drill out the tab attached to the battery positive terminal. I have to thank SATONIC for selling at such a reasonable price and automatically applying a discount I wasn't aware of. This company is a good outfit which I recommend to others.

After watching a car model specific installation video, it went well. Only one glitch, it did not come with an alarm buzzer.

I recently installed the Satonic Tesla screen swivelling mount, and I’m really impressed with the quality. The build feels sturdy and OEM-like, and installation was straightforward—took less than an hour with basic tools.

The swivel function works smoothly, making it much easier to adjust the display toward the driver or passenger without feeling loose or wobbly. What I appreciate most is that the latest version keeps the screen at the original factory height, so visibility of the wireless charging pad and road ahead isn’t compromised.

Compared to cheaper knock-offs, Satonic clearly stands out—they back up their product and offer consistent updates. It’s a small upgrade that makes daily use of the Tesla much more comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve screen usability while keeping a clean OEM look.

I’ve been eyeing this product for over a year and a half, but I hesitated because of older negative reviews and concerns about installation. I finally decided to go for it—and now I can’t imagine not having it.

I use my frunk more than my trunk since it’s the perfect size for everyday items, and the convenience is unmatched. What always bothered me before was the loud clunk when opening and having to close it manually—usually leaving handprints on the hood. The Auto Frunk has completely solved that. It’s smooth, quiet, and I find myself using it even more now.

The installation instructions leave a lot to be desired, but watching a few YouTube videos made the process much easier. The trickiest step was swapping out the struts; after that, it was just a matter of connecting and hiding the wires.

For me, the true test of a product is asking, “If this broke, would I buy it again right away?” With this, the answer is an easy and enthusiastic yes.

Tesla Model 3 & Y 40° Swiveling Screen Mount – Full Range Up, Down, Left & Right!

This was the very first DIY project I did after buying my new Model Y Juniper. I'm not sure if the stock monitor is meant to be more for the passenger, but since it faces straight ahead, it wasn't very driver-friendly.

After seeing a monitor mount on YouTube, I bought it right away and installed it. The installation itself was quite straightforward, but unscrewing the two hex bolts with the included tool was a real struggle. I would definitely recommend having a bigger tool ready—it will make things a lot easier.

I'm extremely satisfied with it now and am already planning my next DIY projects, like a yoke steering wheel or a cockpit monitor.

One final thing to note: I had bought some storage trays that install above and below the stock monitor, but they can no longer be used with this mount. Keep that in mind before you buy!
